Phonocake Brother Label for IDM, Electronica, Elektro out of Dresden with strong relations to Phonocake (musicians, maintainers).
Originally the label was created by Mirko Rotzsch in 2003 as a record label. Mirko participated in some of Dresden's ancient record stores, Hardwax Dresden and Hörauf. Sleepy City came back in 2010, as a netlabel. The Phonocake netlabel re-activated it, together with DJ Smiley (Elektrolyser), who is the main curator of the netlabel. Sleepy City is and was specialised in electronic music out of the city of Dresden in Germoney. Besides new stuff, Sleepy City is re-releasing all of the vinyl and CD releases from the year 2003 and 2004 under Creative Commons.
